I got treated for my double chin and ended up with 'lizard' neck

A woman who had a procedure to fix her double chin said she ended up with "unsightly red dots all over" her neck.
Jayne Bowman, 59 and from the UK, had a nonsurgical skin-tightening treatment called fibroblast plasma.
"Weeks later there was no change at all apart from horrible scarring," she told the Daily Mail. "I had hundreds of brow dots all over my chest and chest. I looked like a lizard!"
She said she didn't want to leave the house, and if she did, she wore a scarf.
"I wish I still had my saggy neck — it was better than what I have been left with. This botched beauty treatment has left me in agony," she told the outlet.
After losing weight, Bowman said she had excess skin. She sought recommendations on Facebook and messaged about Botox for her double chin. A beautician responded and after checking out reviews, Bowman decided to go for it, according to the Daily Mail.
During the approximately $600 procedure, she said she began to experience a burning sensation beyond the slight burning feeling that is to be expected.
"It was so painful — it burned like hell," she said. "I told the therapist I was in agony but she didn't seem bothered. She said she had to carry on or it wouldn't work."
She started using creams to cool her skin down, but it was then covered in brownish-red looking spots all the way down her neck.

Bowman talked to a lawyer about what happened and also left a bad review. This prompted the beautician to file a complaint with the police, according to the Mail.
She has since launched a petition for stricter beauty industry standards.
"I am not after money, I just want justice for being butchered at the beauticians," she told the outlet.
"It honestly has been a living nightmare and I am living with the scars to prove it."
